POLICE were today hunting two masked men who brutally attacked three elderly women for their bingo money as they walked home from a social club.

The attack took place as the women, two aged 71 and the other 78, were walking home from a bingo night at a social club in Eckington at around 9.45pm on Tuesday.
Two men wearing balaclavas held up the trio in Sitwell Street and one pushed a knife to the throat of one of the 71-year-olds.
They then shoved the 78-year-old, who suffers from a heart complaint, into a hedge, causing her to fall to the ground.

embroidered patches managed to grab two bags, containing a small amount of cash, before escaping in a white hatchback car.
The 78-year-old woman was taken to hospital after the incident, which was said to have left the three friends "very shaken".
A police spokesman said: "We are liaising with our colleagues in South Yorkshire. We are keen to catch the perpetrators before they carry out any more nasty offences on elderly victims."
